I used to love fireworks

You'll just have to take it up a notch Gritsar!

20 cats! Who could beat that and still be sane... ish????

I was holding my JRT once during the fireworks, and the danged dog got so scared he pooped in my hand. Yuck! After that I learned to give him some benadryl so that he'd rest a little.

Not to worry, Gritty.

Fireworks and thunderstorms! Two of my dogs despise both and have been complaining since the 1st.

I have an old lab who could care less. But, I also have a big chow, shepherd mix that cowers, whines and shakes during the fireworks. I haven't been out after dark on the 4th for 9 years! I dose him with doggie valium, just to take the edge off.

When I lived in Spartanburg I had neighbor behind me who thought he had to rival Disney World when it came to fireworks. My horses freaked, pasture caught fire, horses jumped the fence. One ended up in the pool and the other I couldn't catch until the next after noon.

Fireworks are like roosters. We love to look at them but we don't want the noise.

I think I'm getting old, because when the kids down the street are playing with fireworks THE NIGHT BEFORE it just annoying to me now - especially if it's those M80 types... they rattle my windows

So glad I am not the only one.
My 2 120 pound 3 year old dogs have been freaked out for a week. Nothing like that in my lap every night.

It is like a war of the fireworks in my neighborhood. They did not stop shooting them off until midnight last night. My 15 year old shep mix hides in the bathtub if I don't get the door closed early enough.

I live close to a police sub station too.

Fireworks are illegal here. Yet every year for at least 3 weeks it goes on.

I have 6 cats and 3 dogs and tonight the cats will most likely be hiding under the beds or whatever they can find, this will be my newest dog's first 4th of july so shouldbe interesting, the others either lay down and watch them or they will try to chase them. The roosters however are always annoyed by it
