I want a cabinet incubator -- suggestions?

Quote:
I bought a used Sportmrnt GFQ and next winter I will changed my wafter to a electronic thermometer.
The eggs I have already hitched has paid for the bator. I sold all the chickens I hatched at a week old.
And now I am hatching turkeys for my commericail Thanksgiving business.

My commerical is helping pay to get started in my pure breed operation. So, if I can hitch out chickens and turkeys it pays for another part of my operation.
After I do my Thanksgiving push I will have money to update my used bator, Maybe you could do the same thing. I also have a used bator cabinet style that will hitch 600 turkey eggs. I need to have it rewired and buy trays for it because it set up for emus. But I give $750 for a $8,000 year old bator but the packrats got in the wiring after I got it. So, even with the rewiring and trays I still have a whale of a good deal.

Well, I nearly filled up the new Dickey this weekend. I've got turkey, guinea, quail, and chicken all going. Need to total my egg count. But do I really want to know?

The coming hatch days are going to be crazy if this thing works as well as reported. So far the temperature is holding great. Humidity pan is doing well, in fact it is keep a humidity around 52% which is higher than I typically run it early in the hatch.

Are you going to do a staggered hatch or did you put the different species in on different days so they'd all hatch at the same time?

I've got two breeds of chickens in my box right now and am thinking of doing some Pharoah quail as well if I can come up with some sort of rack to hold the eggs still in the turning trays.

I set them all the same day, so I'll pull out the different breeds at their different hatch times. I do have the one hatching tray, but I think I'll just move them to my old foam LGs for hatching this time.
