I want a tattoo that is a wolf, duck or goose...update pic post 17

I've been planning my tattoo for 13 years... If you're not sure which one you want, then wait until you know for sure. don't let us tell you which one to get... also, would the wolf be able to carry the cross on all 4s? or would it have to stand up to do it?

I have 5 tattoos and the thing about them is, if you are asking people what they think, you haven't found "the one" yet. You will know when you find "the one" and you will want it immediatly.

Also, talk to a tattoo artist (a good one). They should be able to talk to you and draw one especially for you. All of mine are custom and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am not one for flash work. I don't want to be walking down the road and see someone else with the same exact tattoo as I have. That to me, takes away the specialness of it.

I agree - if you have general ideas a good tattoo artist should help you bring your vision together. I have 14 myself and have always wondered if many people on here have chicken or rooster tats!

I don't yet, but I have the idea. The only reason it hasn't happened yet is because I have a full thigh piece that has one more 3 hour sitting to be finished. Then, I will be getting my chicken tat!

ok so i did get a tattoo...not the cross one yet...i got this one! I got 3 stars to represent my sisters and me. The small star is for my little sister, medium star is for me, and the large star is for my older sister. My older sister plans on getting this same tattoo in the same place soon. I just thought i would update on what i got.

Awww! How sweet! Thank you! I still love my tattoo as much as I did the day I got it!

Here is a picture of it. My artist drew it from a couple of great horned owl feather pictures and she really did an awesome job. It's on my right shoulder and only about 3 inches. The picture makes it look much larger than it is.

What I would suggest doing is getting your idea or a rough picture (drawn by you or your artist) and hang it somewhere you will see it every day. I put mine on the fridge. After seeing it every day for many weeks and still loving it, I knew I would never get tired of it!

Also, make sure you shop around for an artist! Go to a place that is not like a tattoo "factory". You want to look for somewhere that is more private where you can have relaxed one on one time with the artist. My friend went to a larger place that had been recommended by a lot of people and it was nothing more than a "factory" kind of setting. The tattoo was cheap and looked rushed, almost childish. The whole time the guy was doing it, he was joking around with his buddies. You definitely don't want any distractions when you are getting it!

Do you like tribal style tattoos? I think a tribal wolf would be pretty neat!
