Hi..I would like to have these eggs to hatch for my husband..he has been so supportive of my love of chickens, he works very long hours (but we thank the Lord that he has a job) drives 1/1/2 hrs to work and 1 1/2 home; on the weekends he seems to always need to build a coop or pen..recently he showed an interest in BRs remembering them from childhood..I got 1 doz chicks keeping them out of sight from him..to be a fathers day gift..the first night I had them out in our shed..hubby rarely goes in there..they were all pulled through the cage by a raccoon!! Since that night I have lost several Speckled Sussex. I had to tell him all about the surprise and how it went wrong..luckily the coon has been taken care of by my son.I would love to sip these eggs in the bator without him knowing.

I would love to have these eggs to share with my two wonderful children. We are new to chickens (I was around them as a kid) and my kids have absolutely fallen in love with the little ones we have. We are building our coop (almost finished yeah!) and my kids helped me do a lot of the painting. They did the whole inside while I painted the outside Of course when they were done I couldn’t tell them apart from the walls, they were both covered in white paint.

For them to watch the whole process of an egg “turning” into a real live chick would be great for them and we would enjoy it all a lot.

Thank you! It is great that you are doing this.

I have a very good friend that is going through some difficult time with her family, and has found her solace in raising chickens. She really likes barred rocks of any sort, but can't get any. I would love to help her out by hatching some babies for her, I know it would really make her summer.

Technically, I don't want them all for me. I have a batch of Blues hatching this week. I would like these for my neighbor. Recently we have had dog/ coyote problems in our neighborhood. Two weeks ago she had 55+ girls, we did a count this weekend and she only had 35+ left. I would like to hatch these out to give to her, she is such a great neighbor.

I would like to have these because incubating and raising chickens teaches my kids the circle of life, the benefits of caring for another animal and the wonderful bountys that they supply us with.

Oh my goodness you are going to have a hard time picking pumpkinpup. Congrats on your 3000 post!!!

I am addicted like everyone else on here. We absolutly love hatching eggs. Not only do the kids and I have a great time watching them hatch and putting them in the brooder, but the kids love seeing new breeds and trying to guess which ones are which. Who new this hobby would be so educational?

I don't know if that qualifies me for your "3000 post celebration", but then again I did loss 2 Turkens and 2 Speckled Sussex to a fox while I was at the chicken swap in Cedartown on Saturday.

Whoever wins is going to luck out because we had our booth Saturday right my the concession stand were pumpkinpup was and she has some "fluffy booted" chickens as the kids say.

Good Luck to everyone and happy hatching.

Carly

I would like them b/c I have 1 lonely little Barred Rock girl that hatched from your eggs a couple weeks ago. She needs some buddies!!

Ok, she has a Silver Marans and a BBB as buddies, but I meant as her own kind!

I want these eggs because I dont have any chickens yet.. I just have button quail. I won a chicken saddle and dont have a chicken to put it on yet.. Oh and blue is my favorite color in animals..

Another great BYCer doing a good thing.. THat is why I love this site.

I want those eggs because my two barred rock girls are my favorite. And, my power went out here; first time incubating eggs. I'm sure they are probably most if not all gonners the power was out over 12 hours. I am pretty disappointed. Oh and I have never won anything in my life! So, that would be awesome and a real 'pick me up" from loosing a bator full of babies. I have over 3 dozen eggs in there.
