i want these eggs because my 5 yr old would have an abolute fit over them. she is is trying to lay claim to my "girl show" (show girl). i wouldnt mind not having her tell ladies at the grocery that i have a girl show in my basement! they could be an early birthday present!

My name is Kim and I am a chicken addict.

My daughter (8yrs old) and I are newly addicted to chickens and would love to add these to our starter flock.

She is a 4H-er this year and we missed out on the 'free chick' project that they do here in our county. This would be a great chance for her to start her own little flock and get some experience in showing chickens.

I was a 4H-er for my entire childhood and have great memories of Fair Time. I hope to raise her with the same love for animals, nature and life that I have and to give her a sense of community.

She would also be expected to complete the circle of giving by making available this same great opportunity to others when they start to lay. We have taught all of our children to 'pay it forward'.

I want those eggs because...

I love to watch my children (13, 11 and 3) press their noses to the incubator window and watch the eggs hatching, love on the little chickies, and talk to the adults. Who knew chickens could be so much fun!

I also would like these eggs because we have no pure breds and my son (11 year old) takes them to the county fair to show for 4H. We only have mixed breeds and rather than borrowing from his advisor of 3 years I would love to give his advisor something back.

Well I would love to have these egg, because i was at the swap on saturday and bought some BLRW form you and there were some bantam eggs in there and one marans. I asked you to take the maran out. You put in one Blue barred i got home and looked them up and wow they are so pretty but my baby will be all alone. I would love to get some friends for it.

Thought maybe if I Beetlejuiced it it would come true !! fact is I really would like to have them, but my bators all FULL, thanks to everyone at the swap Saturday. I would love to have Blue Barred Rocks so i could show them for FFA and i just had my first hatch two weeks ago =] i got 3 out of 4 eggs =] and thank you so much for doing this contest. Congrats to whoever receives them =]

I want them because I can't have them. I am not able to have any till after we move in September. Yours are one of the breeds on the top of my wish list. Oh well only 3 more months then the addiction truly begins.
