No. I'm in a no rooster area, and the no crow collar does not work on him.

I was hoping to have acquired the land and have a chicken pen built by now. But the land I was going to get, someone else came in and bought it. I have not been able to find any suitable new locations. The rooster was living outside and the crow collar did seem to work for a while. He was mating with the hens I have. When he crows, it seems to echo. Now I keep him inside so the neighbors don't hear him.

He is calm and does allow me to hold him. I have been able to get him to stay on my arm like a parrot. However, it is better for him to free range.

I still hope to find suitable property where I can move my chicken to. I invested a lot of money in him and several females. So breeding him is the best alternative. I don't mind breeding him with other breeds. I was planning to breed him with some Ayam Cermanis and production hens.

I would not try to give him away, but if he is a good quality Ayam cemani you could probably get some money for him. Good luck!

Giving or swapping him on BYC, but I sell mine on Craigslist for $50-$100 depending on any mulberry or leakage. At least that way, you know he won’t be supper! Lol. Where r u?

What do you mean by mulberry or leakage?

Randomly some are born with red in there black comb. This is called Mulberry. Others can have Copper Leakage which while beautiful, is not the breed standard.
