I just found out that singer has sold out to husqvarna/viking. I found this out when I stopped in to see my dealer about a tune up for my Husqvarna and he had all these singer machines in the middle of the room. They will be selling all the singers at a clearance price and not making new ones. That is what he said.

If that is true how sad. I asked if he would be repairing the old singers and he said only what he sells as he does not like working on them. I asked how people with singers were to get repairs done on their machines and he said not my problem. I informed him that he had lost my business and walked out of the store. I called my sister, she stopped in and he told her the same thing.

Guess I will be driving 2 hours one way for repairs and cleanings but at least they will repair all singers even if they didn't sell them.
