Apparently Eduardo isn't very abusive. He says even if he hit his dogs it wouldn't make a difference, they would think he is just playing. In my opinion that's not someone that is abusing his dogs. I've seen people abuse dogs when I was a kid. I've seen a massive German Shepherd cower in fear from a beating. That dog was an adult the first time he was beaten like that. Forever afterward every time he saw his abuser he would cringe in fear and wet himself.

Seems to me that Eduardo was just frustrated and venting. Dogs can be unpredictable, especially in packs. I've seen dogs that everyone thought were harmless around sheep (they had coexisted for years) snap. One brisk fall day they got a wild hair and attacked the one of ewes. She was alive, but had severe enough injuries that she had put down. No question the dogs did it, caught them in the act. The best defense is solid fencing and never letting pet dogs be unsupervised around livestock.
