I Wanta Do It TOO!!!! ( ranting)

You have successfully started your 12 step program.

You have admitted that you have a problem.

Steps 2 - 12 should culminate is little fluffy butts in your brooder.

Really!?! Good Morn Miss Prissy! Thank You for the encouragement. I keep collecting eggs and I keep wondering what would this huge chocolate brown egg produce? Or what would this green one produce? If I plan to hatch a batch in March....how soon could I start holding eggs back for incubation?

About 10 -14 days before you want to set you can start collecting eggs. Keep them aroung 60-65F degrees, turn them once a day until you set the hatch.

I don't have a bator. Or the money to get one.

Then do what I did. I printed out Miss Prissy's bator instructions and started collecting the parts a bit at a time. By the time spring gets here I will have my second bator (my first is a Lil Giant to which I added a fan--works great, btw).

When you collect everything a little at a time, the strain on the wallet seems much smaller and can be paced to fit your available cash, yet you still get the satisfaction that, yes, soon you too will be hatching!

We chick-aholics have to stick together!
