I am probably going to need to ferment this stuff to get them to eat it, on the plus side they are better lawn mowers now! They prefer foraging on their own to eating their crumble.

I imagine next sack will be from TSC where I can get the higher protein game bird feed that they like vs the generic feeder/grower my store stocks.

Once I find a quality feed, I stick with it. Coupons, discounts & other reasons for me to switch usually result in changes of production and feeding behavior.
Any changes in my patterns or feeding routine, effects the outcome of my goals with my flocks in the short term & long run.:)

I'm also not interested in 'bargain' feeds; I found a diet that works for my flock, and that's what I buy. It's fresh at my local feed stores and doesn't vary from one bag to the next. That wasn't the case when I tried locally milled feeds here.
Chickens don't like changes in feeds, so anything new might be a problem anyway.

Ty Mary I just prefer supporting my local feed store and my local economy but they dont support me and my birds. I wasn't looking for a bargain at all I just want a 22-24% protein grower feed as I keep longtail gamebirds not real chicken.

I'd like the gamebird feed too, but the feed store that stocks it around here has old stuff. And the TSC doesn't carry it any more. Can you have them special order what you want? In a quantity that works for you? Or go together with someone else nearby to place a larger order?

I know TSC is getting more web savvy and I have ordered quite a few things from them for store delivery. It is a bit odd walking out without paying because you prepaid online.

Thankfully mine stocks the gamebird feed and the packaging looks fresh enough and the birds definately prefer it to "generic chicken grower".

I have used their online store for a chainsaw and landmower plus a few other items and find it very convienient.

Funny story I had a 1980 toyota 4x4 pickup and tractor supply was my go to for seals and gaskets for it back in 2007. Yeah they can order you anything they can. Maybe it was just a Georgia thing as that was where I was living at the time. But they are a decent comany just I believe the are listed in the NYSE and we all know where that will lead.

See I will never use TSC I am driving another 30 miles one way to buy chicken feed I feel good about using I hate purina foods as I know how they work
I agree I don't trust Purina either. It was ok when I was feeding/attracting fish in Iraq. But the GMO components are totally unacceptable for my pullets/hens.
