Greetings!
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Unknown. Grey/charcoal/few purple feathers. Poofy mustache feathers. About half the weight of my australorp mix ladies. Fully feathered but not of age for eggs.
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Living with one eye.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Just received bird yesterday from disabled neighbor. I cant tell if it is pus in the eye or just pale tissue.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No, thank God.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
Eye missing. Nothing else. No runny nose. Still eating and drinking.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Some of this lady's birds had bubbles around their eyes. Almost like soap suds. Lady said "She lost it from an infection. " and she poured Hydrogen Peroxide on it often...
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Bird eats like a small pony at a buffet.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Poop looks good. Nice bark to white ratio. Good consistency.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Stopped the whole peroxide stuff.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I would like to treat myself if it requires treatment.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
Posted.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Currently in an elevated cage I once used for rabbits years ago but have disinfected several times since then (I disinfect things monthly, used or not).

Definitely an Ameraucana. I'm not sure if she lost it due to an infection or not, but if the lady said so, then it may have been. I'm nott sure how an infection would cause the eye to just "fall out", but who knows? Bubbles in the eyes usually point to MG. It's a contagious but not serious disease. It comes and goes with stress and other factors. If she recently lost her eye, then I would continue to clean it (I think?), but some chicks are born that way. Hope this helps! She's a gorgeous chicken!

The eye is infected. It's pus you see. She could use a good eye flush with saline and then twice a day terramycin eye ointment.

Likely she got pecked in the eye at some point. Knowing how old she is would perhaps help tell us if she got this as a baby chick or recently.

Based on what my neighbor said, between 12-14 weeks old.

Then it's a probability she was pecked in the eye as a chick, which is very common. Bored baby chicks in a crowded brooder a lot of times will become fixated on the shiny black eyes of its brooder mates. Occasionally a chick loses an eye. Adult chickens can sometimes do this, too, unless the chicks are kept safe.

It may be this infection has been going on for some time, and the hen may need an oral antibiotic, as well as the topical.

Terramycin and Tylan 50?
About how much Tylan 50 if I go that route orally?

I usually go with .5ml Tylan 50 twice a day for 5 days. I usually tube it into the patient's crop so I know all of it is getting in. It's really the easiest way if you have a catheter and syringe. You need a needle syringe to get it out of the vial, though. If you think you can get the dose cleanly into the chicken, fine. But if you can't tube it in, you also can inject the dose into the breast muscle, alternating sites.

Do you have an existing flock of chickens?
How many chickens did this lady give you?
If you have other chickens - did you house/quarantine the new ones separately?

You mention that some of the lady's birds had bubbles around the eyes like soap suds. To me, this is likely an indication the birds have Mycoplasma. This is a contagious disease that spreads through a flock and makes birds carriers for life. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044
What are your chicken keeping goals?

Flush the eye with saline, press any pus that you see out of the eye. It's hard to tell if the eye is lost or if swelling/pus has it covered up. Apply an opthalmic ointment like Terramycin in the eye. Flush/apply ointment to the eye at least 2 times a day.

Antibiotics like Tylan50 can help if this is Mycoplasma. You need to weigh your pullet so you give her the correct dosage. Dose is .25ml per pound of weight given orally 3times a day for 5days in a row.
