Ok, so a local Emu farmer offered me hatching eggs for $25 each, I thought NO WAY! I'm not paying $25 per egg for something that may not hatch! But my Husband really wants me to try it

, So I MAY purchase 1 or 2. But I have No Idea how to hatch Emu eggs, anybody have any insight? Also I can't keep an Emu (Although DH and I were joking that it would be awesome security for the storage company we manage

). So what's the story with hatching EMU's? Also, I know they tend to be mean adults, but are the chicks mean, or just like Giant chicken chicks?

Thanks

emu eggs are high, i personally don't know what temp. to hatch them at, but i know a man who raises emu's his name's fred his website is www.fredsfinefowl.com i think emu's are just like chickens, also they lay pretty good too. about 90-100 huge eggs a year hope you check him out and email him if you have any questions
