They get the brooder to themselves right now. The chicks that were in there went down to the grow out brooder (bym I hatched myself) and will get sold at auction this or next week.

I've got Ameraucana and Welsummer hatching eggs literally pipping in the incubator today so these will have friends soon!

I'm pretty sure they just have the golden campine and speckled sussex chick pictures switched.

So glad they made it there safe! We had one batch that showed as 'pre-shipment' the whole time until they were ready for pickup, and another that was 'at the post office' but never moved... until pickup. The anxiety was unreal! Tracking, I've quickly learned, can be so unreliable. I almost don't want to ever look at it, but I'd rather know IF something weird happened (them going to the wrong place, etc.) so I could do my best to intervene. The worrying is nauseating!

I'm pretty sure they just have the golden campine and speckled sussex chick pictures switched.

Just today I was looking at chick pics of the breeds and thinking... wait, I think I mixed them up.... bwahahah

So yes, I had them mixed up I am sorry!

I've put in my hatched Welsummer and Ameraucana and EEs (grr, long story) with those and now I cannot tell which one is the Speckled Sussex lol

I'm sure it will become abundantly evident as time goes along! hah

So yes, I had them mixed up I am sorry!

I'm sure it will become abundantly evident as time goes along! hah

Speckled Sussex have light pink legs. That is how you tell.
The lightest colored legs will be your SS chicks.
