I went from executioner to chicken god !

Well I was in walmart this evening getting some groceries when I was in the dairy sec. and remembered someone posting that plain yogurt was good for them (chicks) So I picked up a tub, and when I got home put a couple of teaspoons on a saucer and set it in with them. NOBODY was going to try it first they just kept giving the saucer and me the evil eye. Finially one brave soul got up the nerve to try it! And in about 2 mins. everyone was taking bites and they are singing praises to me as Im typing this> LOL I never thought chickens could be so cool, They are such a blast! I just love these little guys.

I love the "worship my hens have" for me, lol, as my hubby calls it. He says I am their mung bean and yogurt goddess.

try button quail they are almost as bad as silkies about takng over your mind...I have 20 something (chicks about a week old) in an aquarium in my office and they are a hoot...they will all get real quite and sleep under the lamp in a big ball and then suddenly they all jump up and peep and eat and drink and run around and then suddenly silence...nap time again...kinda reminds me of my little boys

they were so cute as babies (now they stink

) but they would be sleeping so peaceful...then i would poke them so we could play and they would holler

LOL! From one goddess to another. LOL Isn't it fun to be the one they all adore! They just are more fun everyday! Ive never had chickens before now and Im starting to think I really missed out on something, MY kids think Im nuts! LOL Sandy

Mine are so spoiled that if I don't bring them a treat in the morning I get bawked at.

Watch out- once they really get to love it, you will need to wear full coverage raingear! I have to drop it and RUN or they will cover me with it.
