We had a bit of a mishap at the house a few months. The chickens were under attack and a rooster and hen came up missing. I set some leg traps that night and the next day managed to catch something. One of the hen got out and was in leg trap. Broke it just below the knee. I put a splint on it but it never did heal. It ended up falling off but healed up just fine. She gets around pretty good and plays an egg a day.

One legged birds generally do fine as long as the rest of the flock leaves them alone. Sometimes heavier birds develop leg problems because of the wear and tear on the one leg.

She really seems to be doing well. I was thinking if i could introduce her to the flock, think she might get roughed up.
