Buff orps are a crazy breed! I love them, but they are always trying to fool you at the last minute! I love them because of that! You should have some eggs from her pretty soon!

yes as they are maturing the cockerels will get darker starting on the wings in the end they are a solid even color all over like a hens but just a tad bit darker in color

I hope so!! When I got these chicks and people said, you may not know until it lays an egg or crows, I thought they were exaggerating. Boy was I wrong!

i would say hen, she might be ready to lay and that is why her comb sprouted a comb and wattle, and they reddened.
