Are there any members around the Des Moines area that have any laying hens for sale?

My son is selling eggs at our "farm stand" and we are having trouble keeping up with the demand. I would like to add 4-6 hens.

Hi All,
Are there any members out is SE IA?? I am in Denmark, down near Fort Madison and Burlington. I just got my first flock about 6 weeks ago. I have 8 6 or 7 week old chicks. They are BO and EE's and I think Auracauna? and 2 less than a week old that I have no idea WHAT they are. But I love them all more than anything!!

I have 2 maybe 3 roos that I may need to get rid of, anybody know where i may be able to post them to good homes NOT food homes. They are already names and I just don't have the heart to put them into pot pie! Nor would my kids let me!! LOL One is a BO and the other 2 are either EE's or Americauna's (did I spell that right??)

Well, sometimes that happens. But the health and welfare of my flock and children sometimes dictate that certain flock members move on. If it is to someone's table....then more power to them.
