Wow! He is huge compared to the others. Love the 2 with gold/red heads and blue bodies. I didn't get any of that color this year

I got some last year from a Blue Barnyard Mix Hen crossed with my BO rooster. Those are some of my fave hens.

Trying to decide who I might enter into the Iowa City show and enjoying the nice day.

Silver seabright hen: I have always heard this breed is flighty, but she is very calm and has really grown on me. She always comes up to me

The roo that came with her - again - not a horrible personality, but less approachable:
He is either really terrible hatchery stock with a straight comb or a mix:

The splash silkie babies - I am guessing they are around 3-4 months old:

Blue barred and deep red frizzled cochins (with Jet my black barred hen). They are 18 months old and I hope they are as good of broodies as my other 2 frizzles.

Oh and one more thing - I got my serama eggs and they went in the incubator today.

Love the Silver seabright hen. The roo could be a mix. Not sure though he could just be poor quality. I got some SLW from a hatchery this spring and only 1 rooster had the proper comb. Of course that's the one the raccoon had for supper

Thanks - I am still debating if I want to enter my serama roo or not. I might just go check out everyone elses birds again.

That hen is now probably one of the sweetest tempered birds I have now. Plus she has melty eyes.

Eric - We have staring contests everyday. Trying to come up with a good name for him. I need some kind of theme for the four of them. Now if the other three are girls I'm all good. They really seemed to enjoy their day out in the garden today. Once the sun started setting like all good chickens they went right back in their cage. P has settled in to the small coop with her chicks and they were all snuggled under her just now. I got the big coop all clean too. Tomorrow the light is going in - I am making the hubby do some work!

All I can say is... a friend is a pro shower and she should be here. Now, i am getting emotional thinking about P and her family.
