IA here

So Eric - do I need to bring you some homemade Turkey noodle soup?

It's very tasty...

I was just looking at the Big Roo and he is more than twice as big as his younger sister. That's a lot at this age considering they are only a week apart. I am anxious to see if any of the other roos are nearly as big as him. He is also marked really nice so far. I wish the little pullet had more silver on her

Is anyone from the Des Moines area going besides me?

Yea. It would have been easier if they actually had the people by the cage selling..I had no idea if people were just looking or if the people selling were there or not. I did want to see about some nice looking cochins, but when we went back to see them and how to find whoever was selling them they were gone...I liked those bantam ducks too. I didn't know they came in a bantam size

I saw you selling 2 little birds Trish

I'm surprised birds can be that small!

I thought there would be some younger birds there too...Guess we will see tomorrow what birds are still there and look around again, and have to get birds from Eric.

We stopped at Farm and Fleet and got a kennel thingy, and a thermostat/hydrometer for the incubator.

I just got home myself - dropped the hubby off, then went to shoppers mart to get puppy shots, gamestop for a game for the PS3 we just got and then Petsmart for new "chewies" for the puppies who are teething. The Iowa Blues are settling in fine. Big Roo is still bigger than the ones I brought home but not by a whole lot. I think my first goal might be to get more silvering back on the females if they don't grow much in with their first molt.

It was good to meet some more people! Trish you just let me know when that serama hen needs a new home...

I'm pooped.

I was also there today. Walked around aimlessly for about 2 hours. It was the first time I had been at a "real" poultry show (only fairs). It was definitely neat to see, in person, what some of these birds should look like. Congrats to any winners that are on here!!

Had a blast today. Sorry I didn't get to talk to y'all that much since I was clerking. I hadn't done it before and didn't think it would take that long. Oh well.
