IA here

SO the dentist called today. Whomever made my appointment didn't know I was getting a root canal and didn't schedule enough time. It has now been pushed to next Wednesday. They gave me more antibiotics, etc. But I can't even keep water down - how the heck am supposed to take them?

I'm gonna go back to bed now - just had to whine because no one is home but the dogs and apparently puke breath smells like a treat to them

Ok here are some updated picks of the Iowa Blues! The older roo and 3 of the pullets are 18 weeks and the others are 2-3 weeks younger. Those of you that have them have probably noticed there is a lot of variance on the maturity of these chicks

They are a pretty rowdy bunch, but at least they get along with their neighbors!

Yes! The minis are all about 34 inches. Over all these chicks are pretty small. At least the Barred Rocks and Cochins I have that are younger are MUCH bigger!

There are a lot of minis around here! I love the IA Blue roos- what cool markings!

Love the chick pics. I had been curious what an Ia Blue looked like. Now I know. I don't see the "blue" part, but then I am not very knowledgeable about bird colors. I am just anxious to see what my "variety" pak from McMurrays will hold! Prowling around BYC while I wait..and wait...and wait...and wait...

I must have redone my nursery 4 times already and am just about to head out and do it again. Then I wait again. The week of the 31st is just too slow in coming!. Waiting...waiting...waiting...

3 buff Orpingtons from eggs I hatched under a broody 11-4-10. I think (hope) 2 pullets and a roo?

And my favorite - lovely dark blue cochin
