I just found out that the Boone swap was this last weekend , did you talk to anybody that went or is there anyone out there that was there and if so how was it ???

Hubby had to work so didn't make it to Boone.
Odd how the closest 1 I can't seem to make it too plus weather sucked.
Anyone have dates on hillbilly sale in fort dodge?

Little frizzle found the ittybitty hen box. Under the coop on the goat side there is this space under the coop floor that all my banny hens have laid eggs. How long before that starts to smell?

This
is the link for the K & L Exotic Animal and Bird Auction in Yates Center, Kansas

The sale is April 30th and May 1st

or go to www.kramerlivestockfarm.com

Usually a large auction with anywhere from 350 to 700 lots of poultry and rabbits. This sale will be smaller due to the time of the year, but still expect to get around 400+ lots of birds. Plus all the sheep and goats, mini and exotic cattle, camels, zebras, llamas and alpacas, mini horses and donkeys, and much more. Just check the website for consignments as they are added. Although most poultry will just show up and won't be consigned.

We had some friends that went. They said it was a flop since there were only 12 vendors and hardly any customers.

Ok I take it back - Tucker is NOT afraid of the ducks anymore - he kept following the drake around the yard this afternoon after he chased my rooster a few laps. He IS afraid of the big stick I was carrying. (NO I don't hit him - I just use it to block his path when he starts running after the birds.) He is starting to catch on that chasing chickens makes Momma sad. I will never be able to trust him around the birds, but at least he is getting less gung ho about chasing them. He mostly just goes after the rooster now. His behavior with the drake seemed to be more of a curiosity thing.

I thought my "hidden nest" eggs were due by yesterday but still no bitties. I candled 4 of the eggs and there is still good movement in them and they are really full, so maybe by tomorrow. I just wish this cold, wet rain would go away. I will most likely move mom into the garage after the chicks hatch so they can have some escape from the dampness and a heat lamp.
