Pics
Hi everyone. My Internet has been down:( I plan to go and look around at Iowa City but I won't be bringing any birds to show. I just sold some Button Quail at Kalona. They are having a weekly Poultry auction now on every Wed. I am going to be going again later on to sale a couple of our sheep and look for a couple nice ewes if possible. I also really want some EE hens if I can find some. Well, I guess that is all for now. I missed BYC so I am glad I can get back online now.

I'm near Iowa City Iowa. I have gosh a lot of stuff about 80 plus birds. A roving pack of Guineas, Buckeyes, Birchen Modern Games, Dutch mostly Cream Light Brown, Standard Cornish, one Black Copper Maran Rooster and a collection of EE hens.

I love the coloring on Quail marked OEG's so pretty.

Wren;

If you go back to page 26, you'll see where I have a pic of a partridge OEG Shirley. She is actually a Quail OEG. I made a mistake! I can assure you, it was not the first one.
I am sending you a pm about something you mentioned on your post.

wait so she's quail marked right? anyway she is beautiful.

Checking in. I'm just north of Durant.

I don't currently have any birds. I'm planning and building my coop. I scored a free truck load of 22 foot 2x6s and another load of 1/2 inch OSB this weekend so things a really loking up.

I've made arrangements with breeders to get Welsummers, Blue Orpingtons and Barnevelders in the spring. I'm also interested in spotted Sussex, Black Australorps and some day pure bred Amarucanas. But I'm not sure I'll be getting them this spring.

If you don't mind my asking, where are you getting your blue orps from? I'm in the process of starting a flock of those myself. Right now I've got 4 blues, 1 splash and 1 black hen and 3 black and 5 blue roos.

Clay;

You might want to check out the IA City show Thanksgiving weekend. If your coop is ready, you might be able to pick up some birds there. Or, get a good idea of what some of the birds you ordered look like. It's also a good place to get info on specific breeds from experienced growers, breeders and hobbyists.

Edit: You did make a nice score! Lumber expensive! Just finished building a small coop and got a few bucks tied up in that!
