Hi

This swap is over right at noon so don't be too late. Lots of stuff flea market stuff and animals. I was one of the poor people trying to direct traffic last year.

Wren I bet I saw you last year!

I gave into the temptation. I ordered 95 chickens and 5 turkeys from Cackle. Now I just have to wait for my letter to see when they get here.

The weather is beautiful. I went out and clean two of my chicken houses out. I now have all the roosters separated from the hens. Now I need to pair up the ones I want to hatch more of. Must resist getting the incubator out of the attic.

I found a male peacock. He is only a year old.

Hi momof3. I cleaned out my barn this weekend. The chickens are all running around happy right now. I will soon be taking the roosters away from my girls and putting them back in the separate breed coops. I had them all running together for winter inside our large barn to stay warmer. I already have eggs in the 'bator. LOL I thought it would be fun to see what mixes I get from everybody running together. I am hopefully ordering our chicks in a few weeks. I'll be looking for a turkey hen also this spring. We have confirmed my Royal Palm is a Tom.

I that is the info on the previous page right?

I think it takes use 35 or 40 minutes to get over there from here.

I kept meaning to try to go last year, but its so hard to get a chance to go without the kids. and when we aren't baling hay..

I'd like some green or blue layers, all my EE's are laying "pink"

I'm getting some Americauna chix this year. I was planning on getting plenty to share! And I'll be at the 4/4 Burlington swap unless something comes up.

I ordered 25 americuanas from Cackle. The ones I bought last year from them are laying blue. I plan on selling all of them.

It is fun to find out what will hatch from the mixes. I had a beautiful hen hatch two years ago. I'm sure she had Iowa blue in her. She had the same coloring and pattern. However she was a little bit bigger then a bantam but smaller then a standard. She even had feathers on her feet. Sadly our dog killed her. I only have one Iowa blue hen left but I have no idea what the rest of the equation was.
