Good Morning all - I'm 'over the river' in IL about 45 miles east of QC - small flock (>30) of hens (Ameracauna, assorted Orpingtons, Cuckoo Marans, RIR, Barred Rock. couple of Leghorns).

Most of the IL forum folks are downstate so I've been reading the Iowa forum - you guys sure are fun....

Am tempted by Clay's roosters too....lost 'Brutus' last winter and the girls were devastated...he was a gorgeous roo. Can't figure out how to do the photo here....hmmm

I should be weeding this morning but the storms are heading in from Iowa....

Hey Clay - I'd be interested in one of the Blue Wheaten AM roos....I'm in the QC on Sundays but could maybe sneak over there on a weekday...

In addition to missing my morning roo wake up call, I'd like to try to hatch some eggs from my AM hens so a AM roo would be great.

Catherine

Welcome Catherine. Yes this is a fun group.

So is anyone else think they are going to drown this morning? I just went out and got together some ducks and turkeys for a person coming this afternoon. The rain just won't stop here.

Decatur County here. 80 Pheasants, 2 buff orpington hens, 1 black sex link hen , 1 amerucana hen, and two barred rock roosters. 3 black cayuga duck hens.

Looking for a Black Cayuga drake, might trade a barred rock rooster.

Trying not to complain about the rain but ooo boy howdy its soggy here.....

Catherine

soggy here too -- this weekend is the town celebration and looks like thunderstorms every night, cool and humid during the day... just the type of weather I enjoy being in - NOT!

adding insult to injury, county fair is next week and the birds my son is taking are looking like they want to shed feathers -- I am beginning to hate the county fair with all its changes in the poultry rules and people pulling strings and pushing buttons
