Eric - you should see the two micro chicks I hatched out today. I thought the eggs were dead but last night they had pipped and now I have a ying and yang set. They are silkie X serama OR silkie X [ serama X d'uccle ] One is solid dark blue with black feet, beak etc. and the other is yellow with blue and gold chipmunk stripes. They came out of the two smallest eggs I have ever had. Once my daughter comes home and informs me where my camera is I will get pictures.

That'll be great. I'd love to see them! My order of 30 chicks got here the other day with devistating results. 1/2 the order was doa. Only 4 were moving and peeping but I was able to bring 1/2 of them back by warming and rubbing them gently. Only lost one since. The rest are happy, healthy and eating like horses! Well, little horses anyway! Friday my bantam Orloffs arrived. She is a very nice hen and he is a chunk! A big bantam!

Woot! It's finally March. Spring is just around the corner. I haven't been on here in ages. Looking forward to some swap meets as soon as the weather warms up. Right now I'm fairly busy taking care of all the critters. I got some new chicks this past weekend. Hoping that at least a few of them turn out to be hens. I had a predator take 5 hens this winter
