That is what I do - but they usually end up going to someones dinner table

Well, sometimes that happens. But the health and welfare of my flock and children sometimes dictate that certain flock members move on. If it is to someone's table....then more power to them.

me too -- when I take unwanted roosters to a swap meet, I always ask that they go to a good home or for a good meal. I don't give or sell to folks that use them at county fairs for chicken chasing games, petting zoos or other things like that

Hi!
Burlington is on 06/13. We're gonna be there with a boat load of chicks!!!!

You can also check out Laurielynn's site at easterniowabirdswap.webs.com for other swaps.

I may know of someone in the Davenport area that is interested in selling/give away to a good home, an Austalorp, GLW, 2 Silkies and 1 Silkie mix.
Anyone interested? It is an important issue.
Please PM me.

Hmm If I plan it right I could hatch some chicks for this swap, plus bring up the millies and some others...

The millies have now lost their tails in this wonderful molt. If I didn't know any better I would swear I had a bunch of Arucanas out in my yard!

Yes, I do. I'm in Troy Mills, IA. How much are you looking for? If you don't want an entire 50 # bag, I can separage a bag I have open now.

Hey Iowans ! Does anyone have any silkie chicks right now? I have a 4-H'er who would like a couple for a project.
Please let me know if you know of some or have some to sell. Thanks!
