You had turkey poults hatch! I only had one hatch out of 8 eggs. Now we are trying it the natural way. I'm hoping she has better luck then I did. The goat has found a home. Thanks Cassie!

No problem, Chanin.

What kind of turkeys do you have, Trish? I have a couple of turkey eggs in the 'bator at the moment. Hopefully they are fertile. I didn't get a Tom until my one turkey hen was almost done laying for the season.

We're hatching Narragansett's and Royal Palms. Lots!

Save me a baby call. I had a miniature silver appleyard hatch. So far he is the only one. The chicks look at him like he is a weird object. I need a friend for him. How much are your call ducklings?

I've decided to stay home at this point. We keep getting water in our basement and I need to do a "clean sweep" so that we can get some foundation work done. I told my hubby it would be done before he gets home on Tuesday. I hope I can just sell my chicks/ chickens on Craigslist.

You should see one of the EE chicks, it is a beautiful red and white with the softest eyes. Unfortunately I am thinking it is a baby roo in the making. He is the biggest one and likes to chest bump

Wow Hi Iowans

I am soooo happy to find this post. I am not so good on the computer and I can not spell, but i do love chickens.
I live in Greenfield IA, south west IA. I raise chickens and rabbits and veggeis. I love my critters. They keep me going. I have Leghorn hens and NHR roo, 8 yung light brama chics.
I raise rabbits for meat. I have newzealand white and some NZW cross.
I would be happy to help any one get started with chickens are rabbits.

I am looking for some fertile eggs to hatch while my grandson is here for a month, any large breed is fine with me.
My husband and I loved to sit outside and watch our chicks do funny things. We like having diferent breeds. They are all so pretty it is hard to choos just one breed. Lisa

Thank you, i dont have any water here for ducks, but it was very nice of you to offer. I like what you said about IA being heaven. I am from TX originaly, but I love IA this last winter was long but we all got through it. I have to go to TX to see my parents and kids, but before i get there I am already missing IA. My parenys are comming here in july, I told them that they will not want to go home!!! Let me know how all your ducks are doing? Lisa

I wish you were closer - I would give you some brown and olive colored eggs to hatch. I live clear up in Des Moines - If you are ever up this way, I'd be glad to share. Heck I'd even throw in a spare rooster to boot
