Well as some you know I got in big trouble with my hubby at the swap meet. It is what happens when you call grandma and she buys a miniature horse for your daughter. Now my wonderful hubby said I could only come home with the one call duckling. Big oops. By the time we got back to grandma and grandpa's with the mini horse it was better. My daughter has called him Blaze and he it living at grandma's for now. They need more then a horse though lots of goats would be helpful.
We left before the storm hit. I thought we were out running it until we got to Keithsburg. The worse thing we came home to was one of our cats got into our basement room with 11 newly hatched welsummers......he killed them all. Now I guess I start over. I wanted to be done hatching.
Rain rain go away. I left my fence open and the chickens are in the part of the yard I haven't mowed yet due to all the rain. I can't see nothin' but the tops of the heads of the 6 week olds. They love it - plenty of bugs.
OK Iowa people teach me about DE for in my coops. I read it helps in keeping them clean. I understand I need food grade. I live in Madison county. Where do you get this stuff at around here? I am frequently in Des Moines for work. We are self employed flooring installers. So I get around quite a bit. I am close to Creston and Greenfield too.
