Silver Laced Wyandottes.
I will want the day old chicks next spring what prices will you have on your chicks? Are the heritage RIR's the good layers that the hatchery stock is? For me I need the egg production. Hopefully in a few years when the economy is not so rough I can afford to do other things.
Three chicks out and one mostly out. He pipped the wrong end and was stuck upside down. I laid the egg on its side instead and peeled a little of the shell he had cracked away.
They are all blue/black. The first one though has a golden red head. I put him under my forever broody P. She has been clucking to him.
The ferret has now become a family pet. My 16 year old was in tears over the whole mess. I love my husband and I'm gonna banish him from auctions.
Very tiny compared to the others and always seemed a bit confused. S/he kept getting kicked about with the broodies - in fact both mamas rejected him so I separated him. I brought it in and gave electrolytes but I think it was too late for intervention. Everyone else is doing well though!
