How many are you keeping?

My plan was to keep four but with the other bantam breeds I am getting, I don't think i will have room for them and don't want to over-crowd any of them. I still intend to remain active in the project however thanks to this modern technology!

The Ia City show is Thanksgiving weekend, the 27th and 28th.

What are you entering Trish?

Tira, thats good if you can take some but I do need a definite. They won't be going anywhere until Thanksgiving weekend. Would you be able to get them in IA City?

I had high hopes for several birds, but only one is making the cut... this time. I'm taking a black Ameracauna rooster. He's posted on my website in the lime green background.

I had a buff minorca cockerel fit, but he lost a few of his tail feathers a few days ago. The others, I had clipped their wings earlier this year to put them in a grow out pen. They didn't end up shedding them when they molted. My GL Polish started growing in weak tail feathers after his molt, so he stays home too. I'll be working on breeding that out of my line. Next year, I plan on bringing a lot more.

I'm also waiting for the new APA SOP to be released before I buy one. Anyone have any idea on the release date?

Not sure yet..Currently staying at my grandma's and not sure she wants Jerrit and I to be staying here that long. I need to figure out staying in Pa maybe and coming back here for school and stuff so I should know in a week. If we can stay til the Ia city swap that would be easy to do.

All birds bathed! Whew, what a chore... They are all inside for the night in their individual pet taxis waiting to taxi off to Lincoln in the AM, bright and early. Only after a few coffees however, for me not the birds. I hope they don't start crowing at 3 AM! Lora may not like that so much...

Had to call and change a bird. Gonna show the Buff Orp pullet instead of the New Hampshire. Steph remember that pretty salmon colored Americauna Lora bought at the State Fair? She has turned into such a bi.... bad girl, that she was mean to Hampster and pulled some feathers out. Gonna try and sell her in Lincoln along with Foghorn our really pretty white bantam Leghorn cockerel. He is so gentle and hardly ever crows. Unless Trish wants to make me an offer on him??

(let me know), fast... He and the Crele Serama cockerel are in the same pen together and they are almost inseperable! You wouldn't want to break up a family would you Trish?

Also gonna take 3 bantam Orloff starts that came out white! That is an accepted color for them in the ABA SOP. Gonna have to take my book cause folks won't believe it. That trio will cost a very smart investor, 135.00!

Wishing you the best of luck at the show, Eric!

I wasn't really wanting the Crele so much because of his tail, so you could try to sell them together at the Omaha show?

I am wanting a large fowl trio of white or black leghorns, eventually. My unemployed butt is saving her pennies for the birds I'm getting from you now.

My beautiful Buff Orpington flock is laying like crazy. I really love these birds, the girls are so sweet. The roos challenge me a bit. We're working on that.

Yes Trish, the big eating kind. Cause I don't get farm eggs often and so I can make Buffy, bantam orp, jealous!

We are here, nice set up, they got it under control. birds already cooped in watered and fed.

I'll bring you some, remind me though!
