I had a long talk with Curtis Sunday night (the guy with the IA Blues in the sale coops) He has done a lot of reseach on them and we talked about developing a standard. He says the roos with the most silver down their chest are the most likely to pass the silver heads to their daughters. He would like all the iowa breeders to get together this summer and talk about what it would take to get them APA approved. He is also planning on showing them next year in an open class in the Eastern Iowa show. We should all do that
It would be fun to have an unofficial Iowa Blues class!

We let the chicks out with all the big hens and that little roo is still bad! He got into 3 fights with 3 different hens! the buttercups were moved into the hutch to have more room..thought Brooster was choking, idk what was wrong, I think he got a piece of food stuck in his throat because after a few mins he started to breath normal again and was doing his sneezes
We need to get a pen built for them or something soon, because those hens don't like the other birds, and Brooster doesn't seem to like the hens..he seems to go after just my two for the one time we had them out :\\
