I have this strange little mutant chick that hatched a month, maybe 2 ago. It has the big eyes and crest of a pyncheon, it looks like Whitey and peeps like a pyncheon! I thought it was a Delaware but it even has the bird shape of a Pyncheon. I thought it was a Delaware but I just don't know what it is. It's a gentle little thing. Must be a throw back in breeding?

The pic I am asking for is so maybe I have some idea of the chick that I have. It appears to be turning into a girl but am not sure. Of course i don't want two cockerels and no pullets, thats not fair to them! If it is a pullet, maybe we can do some other trading after you get a hatch.
Or... if anyone is interested... April 23rd, Easter weekend, is a show in Scribner, NE. Put on by the newly reorganized NE Cornhusker Club. It's a two day show. My friend Bob Rennolet may be coming down to that one, he raises bantam Buttercups by the dozen but does not sell them via mail. He al;so has large fowl in several varieties. He has about 1000 birds! This winter has been hard so I will contact him and see whats going on and let you know.

Yes, I do, only a couple. They are the same age as the roosters or some younger ones. Normally I do sell them but... I can work out a deal...... do you have any bantam EE's or Americauna? I am looking for another colored egg layer. Correction... Lora is.

Eric the only chickens i have in bantam's is jap's, bb red and cochins everything else is LF.

We can work something out Mike. Would you consider a deal for something from your line of work? A partial trade and me throw in some cash?
Would you and your daughter like to come up and see what I've got? I have two pullets who will be going to WA State in a week or so to Rare Feathers Farm, and hopefully a few more to others including some younger roos. The Older roos have been shown in numerous shows, along with their girlfriends.

My schedule is wide open. Have to clean out a rental that is appaling, left by a bad tenant. But am waiting to get the dumpster after I know what the weather is gonna be like for Mon. and Tues. Hey... they did leave a partical board upright gun cabinet with locking glass doors and some ammo. You need another 2 piece display unit? It's got a locked door on the bottom, slant front. that I can see shotgun shells in and belt or strap. There is a key but I do not know if the key opens both doors. It appears to be in good shape but very grimey. They also left two solid wood hanging gun racks, 4 to 5 gun type for long arms of course.
I would welcome a break from that project!

look what my boys talked me into it. it was a really hard sell. no idea what they are though.

chickens silly

sorry umm no idea I think the black 1 might be a rock the other 3 are chipmunk looking so maybe RIRs or who knows. I'm sure they will all be roos.

Sorted the eggs in the bator today. 15 Key Westers are developing! Out of 24 being shipped so far and arriving a day late, thats a pretty good number. If 12 hatch I will be happy

With my own hatch right now the score is 2 Orloffs and 3 Vorwerks. It's gonna be a small hatch. One little Vorwerk dried up trying to get out.

. The humidity got too low overnight. Another Vorwerk I can see it's little beak in the shell but it isn't moving. So it has either stopped or is playing possum. Will let the eggs go a couple more days then get a final count.

I put my 1st 2 Orloffs in with all the single girls. Am hoping father will mate with daughters and granddaughters. He seems to be gentler than the inexperienced roosters.

Can someone tell me how long it will take for my Buff Orp hen to grow feathers on her back? The other girls pulled them out! I think I need to isolate her with another hen she can get on with. I need her for show!
