IA here

That hawk looks like a Cooper's/Sharp shinned too! I just love them!

Lovely Orloff as well

Pretty sure that's a boy orloff the cuckoo pattern would be lighter for a boy than a girl. Plus the red leakage is a boy thing. Are you sure it's pure orloff - did someone sneak into the wrong cage?

BTW I set some B/B/S Jersey Giant eggs Monday. I got them from a guy in Florida who is a friend of Alexander Douglas. He just told me last night he hatched some with feathered legs - so is thinking his banty cochin got in the cage with them. He doesn't think it will affect the eggs I got, but if it does I will be very frustrated. At least he let me know

I just don't have room to grow out mutts. In fact only plan on keeping a few of these.

So how big are your Jersey Giant roosters? I have one roo and 2 hens I hatched from an Echoinghills egg auction. He is big, but I was kind of expecting bigger. The RIR I got from Trish is going to be much bigger when stops growing

I do think the JG is gorgeous though, I'll have to dig up a picture so you can tell me what you think.

Mine aren't even a year old yet. They continue growing until they are 2 y.o.

Mine are decent size. The one that I like better has red leakage. Trish liked him too. I only know for sure that I have 2 cockerels.

Eric,
I'm getting eggs from 2 of the pullets. I have seen both cockerels mating. I have eggs cooking right now from both. They are on day five. The eggs from the trio (Fred Ness' line that had both pullets in the show) look clear. This pullet is laying every other day. The eggs from the pair (cockerel was in the show) are developing. These are out of a white Horstman hen and a black Ness cockerel so there is a chance of white offspring. This pullet did well at the Lincoln show. The cockerel from the trio placed 2nd or 3rd at the Lincoln show while the other cockerel won his class. If you wanted eggs soon I could send some to you from the pair or if you wanted to wait until the others are fertile I could send you some then. Let me know.
My LF Black Langshan trio has a pullet laying and those are fertile too. If I don't sell some eggs I'll be swimming in Langshans by Spring (not that this wouldn't be a problem either)

Jim... I meant the pair from the Iowa City show. But whatever ones would look good. So if you cross the white and the black ones the dominant color would prevail in a solid body rather than a barring affect?
