Indeed. I am trying to find ways to get out of the house today so I can leave the eggs alone

I finally got a couple of walls for the grow-out pen constructed. It is 88F here and getting hotter, with 61% humidity making the "feels like" temp 96F. Since there is no shade, I had to come back inside. This month broke the record (from 1958) for the hottest September/most days 90+/highest nighttime temps.
Fortunately(?) my set is on day 11. It is easier for me to leave them alone since I pulled 2 duds yesterday when I candled. And football is about to start, lol.

I was waiting for the Tampa vs Chicago game to start. I am torn, lol. I like the Bucs, but I went with the Bears in the football pool.

Was assisted because my lack of consistent turning totally had the chick stuck.

Since literally none I ever set made it to hatch I am starting to think the problem is with the parents. They may carry a lethal gene or be too closely related.

I meal prepped while the little one napped, then we played outside most of the afternoon. Now we're watching the Ravens play the Steelers! I love Lamar Jackson!

I can't win the pool this week
One person ahead of me and we have the same pics for the remaining games. But at least I am keeping my numbers up for the end of the season prize.

Alright, we are finished with 3 chicks
I had two DIS's. Not sure why. I was going to assist one this morning after giving it time to absorb the yolk but it died overnight. Oh well was probably too weak to make it anyway, then.
