Correct. The eggs weren't from your birds, correct?
They came from someone in my area. I know he only has a pair, though. And I think he hatched the parents himself.

There are so many variables involved. I am looking forward to hatching my own eggs next year, and saving myself the added variables involved with shipped eggs! That is assuming I end up with a cockerel.
This is the BCM that hatched 2 and a half weeks ago. The comb looks rather pronounced for that age. Is this maybe my cockerel??

Yeah these all quit super late. Just shy of day 18.My Bantam Ameraucanas did that to me last hatch, I couldn't figure out what went wrong. They were all late quitters, Day 16ish. Everything else hatched really well? I couldn't figure anything out. I'm trying again now! I'm also trying again with some quail eggs.
ThanksAwww, so sorry!![]()
I posted a thread in the What gender is this. So far, 2 responses, both say cockerel. I was really hoping for a female BCM. I only plan to have one room, if that, and want a blue egg color gene. Bummer.
Oh, that's right. You are sneaking a banty wheaten roo down to me when you visit Florida, right?? Lol!What a bummer. So sorry!!! If you pick Ameraucanas I suggest Silver or Wheaten, lol. I'm still not 100% sure the sex of the Blue, Black, and Lavenders that hatched on 8/2.![]()
