IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Pics
I think you'll be ok!!! Fingers crossed!!

I am now a wreck second guessing myself. I never wait this long to add humidity lol So now Im torn as to whether to go ahead or not.

How much would if affect the day 16 eggs? Air cells have all shown some growth although not as big as I'm used to. My bantams inside big eggs still dont take up the whole egg. Which leaves me to wonder if they will hatch later to fill the egg or if they'll swim to the top to hatch

Any advise on if I should up humidity a bit now at 19/16 or wait til tomorrow or first IP? And if I wait, will the lower humidity affect internal pips?

I tried dry incubation last time. My bantam eggs internally pipped fine in a dry incubator last hatch, I had 5 viable at LD and 5 hatched. When I went to add water on Day 18 and set them for LD they were already internally pipped and cheeping. These were full OEGB eggs. Did you post this in your other thread? I think WVDuckChick is following that one, she's awesome and super helpful.

Thank you! I'll copy paste it now. I always incubate dry but this is my first Staggered hatch. Next time I will have my hatcher built .This was a whim sort of thing lol

Thank you! I'm in love with those little quail eggs. They are so pretty!

Oh my goodness! Those little embryos are pretty resilient. Hopefully it didn't effect them at all! :fl If the fan was out 101.6 isn't too bad! For still air I think the recommended temp is around 101-102. So maybe a blessing in disguise?
I was shocked how accurate the temperature is, I ordered three to be safe if one was way off. 2 were off by 0.1 degree and the other was off by 0.2 degrees.
My apologies. My post was a bit misleading. The blower motor on my home AC went out, so the temperature inside is ridiculously hot right now, and our humidity this morning was 98%.
The incubator fan is working, and the temperature of 101.6F was the backup unit which has been very accurate. The sensors are located at egg level.
:he:oops:

:lau A normal unobsessed person probably would have figured that out on their own.

So.. I am a total nut job 99% of the time...even when not hatching eggs. :barnie so... I just realized my hatchabatch app counts the eggs when set as day 1. So I am actually on day 18 and 15 . So I have even more time for my midgets in large condos to get it together LOL

Well, :yesss: they have time to get bigger, and :lau so sorry. Laughing with you! The app I'm trying this time does that too. I'm watching yours closely, I set some of my Amberlink (white with brown patches in the photo) eggs that are large, our only rooster is an OEGB mix. He seems larger than most bantams I've seen though. I think the size difference between him and the girls is pretty comparable to the size difference in yours.

Haha it's good to have friends to laugh with lol Wow he is a bit bigger, isn't he? I must have missed you were hatching those! How exciting! I hope my experience helps you. All I can do at this point is wait lol. I do know my one seperate farm mix who (using these parents) was rocking yesterday and her eggs usually hatch day 19. I don't know anything about Dan for breeding (the gold dw responsible lol) but I DO know the LH hens eggs tend to hatch day 19/20 but that was with a former rooster who was also gigantic.

I added them since I had to run two incubators anyway. I don't have any photos of them side by side. I think this is the same Buff Orpington but I really can't tell them apart anymore. The Australorp pullet on the other side of the Orpington is about 18 weeks I think. I have no clue on his genetics either, he was a rescue. We really don't even know for sure what breed he is. He has an amazing temperament and is really good to the girls so we'd love to have some of his offspring. I hatched the OEGB to breed to him next year.
