IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Pics
My first attempt at incubating shipped eggs didn't go well, 10% hatch rate, ugh. Since I am not a quitter (or perhaps I am just stubborn!), I will be setting another 15 eggs today after work. Anyone else incubating for a September hatch?
I won't be hatching anymore this summer but I had my best hatch ever this year. I got a styrofoam incubator and I kept the temperature at 99.5 and humidity 65% the whole time. I had 99% hatch by doing this. The chicks did hatch at 18 days but they are healthy and developed properly. And I noticed that the chicks came out of the shell better and they detached from the shell better.

Today is the 20th of September and 21 days means that you are looking at an OCTOBER hatch not a September hatch. I don't even like to hatch chickens in June little less in October. Too many things can and will go wrong.

Yes when the humidity is where it is supposed to be, it often looks like the eggshells were cut half-in-two with a laser beam. When the humidity is iffy it will look like a chain saw was used to unzip the chicks. All this extra effort to hatch out only weakens the chicks and often prevents them from living little less from thriving.

Jules is in lower central/upper south Florida, so that'll buy extra grow time before it starts getting cold. It still probably won't get colder than a decent light/heat source can overcome.
What are you setting this round, Jules?

I have 2 EEs, 3 Light Brahmas, and 7 Blue Stars from a breeder on the east coast. Only 2 days to receive these, so hopefully the quick ship time means less damage to the air cells.

It is 73F here right now, at 6: 30am. It is going to get up into the mid 90s today, which is typical for this time of year here. This thread was started Aug 24th for my September hatch which completed last Friday. Rather than start a new thread, I am continuing here, with some others who are still hatching their sets.
