My family has a lot of truckers and they said that show is not far from the truth....it is real but the producers can "juice" up the story a bit. However the frustrations, long hours, the dangers, breakdowns and how they dealt with mother nature, you can learn and respect truckers a whole LOT more! Some of the truckers said they got a bit more respect from car drivers because they did watch the show by giving them WIDE distances and respectful of trucker's space they need to get themselves AND you as a car driver to avoid any accidents.
I certainly don't want to be in their shoes but I love the sheer determination these drivers HAVE to get somewhere to drop off supplies and the element of danger. No different than reading a novel like this. And I'm rooting for Lisa because the truckers do have an "attitude" about ladies driving trucks but Lisa and her new lady friend proved their worthyness as truckers. It is not the size or strength of the lady truckers have but the wily, tough as nails and know when to defend what's right, you certainly don't want to get in their paths.
It is not easy being a trucker, let alone being a trucker's wife! I am safe watching these shoes, even they may be embellish a bit or a bit over the top but it sure does attract viewers in their dangerous driving. Particuarly the India driving......yikes! I would have quit the day Alex did. It is not for everyone.
