ice water on a summer day

ive been giving them slightly thawed frozen corn, man they love corn

I take a bowl fill it half way with fruit, I then fill the bowl with water and freeze. The next afternoon I take it out of the bowl for their treat. It is funny to watch them as they can see the fruit but have to work thru the ice to get it.

I fill up a plastic waterer half way and place it upside down in the freezer the night before, in the morning fill the rest up with water and screw the red trough on. Turn it right side up and the birds have cool water all day.

That's a good idea-I need to start doing that with the one gallon waterer I keep in the coop.

I have the LG auto-waterers. On the days that it doesn't rain I fill up the bowls with ice after I rinse them out. I have to be quick so it doesn't fill with to much water. They love it.
