Icelandic Chickens?

Discussion in 'General breed discussions & FAQ' started by chantald, Apr 3, 2009.

  1. Icelandic Chickens.. are they a common breed that one can find at a hatchery or online to get eggs etc?

    If so, where?

If not, how does one get some?

I just read about them and they sound really neat..not that I need more chickens.. but one can dream!

There was an article in the Backyard Poultry on the Icelandic chickens and the breeder was listed in there. They do sell hatching eggs and baby chicks.

You will not find them in hatchery or online yet.
