I believe it is a simple case of misunderstanding, actually. I am thinking Mr. Decker is just not aware of what landrace fowl represent. Education is what it would take, I agree.

I sent him your long quote Kathy, starting with "It's a landrace fowl....
So maybe he will learn.
Maybe not.
I think at this point I will leave him alone.
maybe he is just tired, having to deal with too many issues in a upcoming show.

I hope the emu eggs fit. I'm thinking an extension for the hovabator would really work, but I've never seen one.

I would worry that it would get too warm on top near the heating element without an extension.

How often do you turn them??

There seems to be plenty of room at the top Mahonri and I don't think emu eggs are as big as ostrich eggs. You turn emu eggs 3 x a day. Here's my set-up. Incubator, telephone to call Kelly for help with incubator, computer, psych meds. I'm all ready!

OMG, if I set them tomorrow they could hatch on my birthday, January 8th, which was also Elvis's birthday which means if one is a boy, I guess I would have to keep it and call it Elvis!

Yeah but you're all blathering on about Icelandics and how good they are but how many of you have actually set foot on Iceland for an extended time and understand the island by actually being there ?
