Icelandic Chickens

Mary what does Brinsea call that one?? Just Spot Check?? Whoops, okay, thats the one you told me about before, I have 2 on order from them.

I came in to dry off, my gloves and jacket were soaked, rain coming down with just a touch of slush, more then a drizzle but not pouring. Eaves are running, our 24-28" of snow has settled down already to about 14". Its for sure slushy out, tomorrow is supposed to be more rain, with wind. Tis the season. When I go back out will have the rain jacket on. With hood.

Life is good ! Better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats.

Kathy! That is freaky. OMG! You are just jealous of Jake's hairly legged Icelandics so you have to come up with something even more spectacular!

Don't show that picture to Kola. Those white feathers don't even look normal. Yikes.

Also, I am in touch with one of the genetics experts (the other 2 haven't responded yet) about Melissa's pictures. He thinks it could also be a thyroid problem, but is looking into more of the possibilities. One being the "frizzle" gene in a double dose.

Mary I will offer support for the next 2 mos, watching progress and cheering you on. The incubator looks great and holding temps great!

I just found out we have an emu farm less than 40 miles from me. I found out because they are selling eggs on Ebay.

I'll bet it is where I got mine, Kalaya Emu Estates? Eggs are much cheaper if you buy them directly from the website!
