Then Mary hatched some.

Totalcolor give yourself a lot more time to decide on those roosters, 2 days wont tell you much about their temperaments/behaviors and how they are with the pullets. That is as much or more to me ahead of the colors.

OMG..................I just went & closed coops.......................and I have an entire EMPTY COOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH NO>>>WHAT WILL I DO NOW????????????
I have to put Something in there fast before I loose control & get (gulp!) More chickens!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't be so fast with the disqualifcations, any day some frizzled or silkied etc. may appear and then everyone with the breed will be hoping they get some. I mean who knows maybe in iceland they were getting them too.

Plus you didn't mention desirable size/weight you know like 2 lbs. to 10 or ? Bantam to Jersey Giant size as long as eyes are still attractive, etc. I DO think that no matter how loosely this is written the nay sayers will be happy that NOW they have a standard. Go for it.

You are right of course. There is one that already stands out (guess how long I've been in the COLD basement staring at them?) He's in a pen with two pullets, and seems very calm. He's the one that Chickielady took to the bird show, so I guess she liked him best too.

They all (but for one) calm down when I hold them - they finally figure I'm not going to murder them. Except for one - he screams like I was the Spanish Inquisition

So, I shall wait and see which ones "work". The girls are simply gorgeous
