Icelandic Chickens

Quote:
If they can survive HELL (aka Arizona), they can survive Florida. Iceland is a temperate climate, so I'm sure they would do wonderfully there.

We get pretty hot here (summers can have 115) but we don't have the humidity. I waited through Mary's first year with them to make sure they could take the heat before adding any to my flock.

Other Mary..........Beautiful pictures. My grandparents used to have a winter house in Arizona - when we visited we noticed empty aquaducts (or whatever they are called) everywhere. It seems it takes very little rain to cause flooding there because of the sandy soil.

Jake......Hoping your babies make it safe and sound.

Geez Kathy, you're warmer than us!

And Yahoooooo! Able to have coffee today. It doesn't taste the greatest, but it's doable. Maybe today food will go down too. No time to be sick - I have Christmas cookies and English Toffee to make, and a cheesecake and apple pie for Christmas with my dad's side of the family on Sunday. My oldest DS is having a birthday party on Saturday - a sleepover. So no more time to be sick!!!!!! Good excuse today though to sit outside with my chickens.

Hope you feel better as the day goes on. You need to stay away from those boys until late Spring. Make them fend for their germy selves!
