Two blondies.

Mary,
Checkin' in. I usually never candle until I transfer the eggs into the hatcher, but I did candle today when adding some other eggs to the bator. I have 4 veining Icelandics from your eggs. The others were clear. It is the smaller eggs that are growing. The larger eggs are the clear ones.

Dang it! Well I am glad you got four. I guess I will have disappointed people all over the country!

After sending out the last two batches next week I think I will stop until I have another rooster in the dating mode. Until then, I guess I'll just use the eggs for eating and looking for the bullseye. It is probably getting too cold to ship to many parts of the country soon anyway.

If anyone wants their shipping refunded just send me a PM and I'll be happy to do so. Sorry, I cannot refund your electric bill! Candle at Day Four with test eggs for sure!

Keep us posted on the four!

Mary

Edited to add that Isi might be a pervert, just preferring the sweet young things! Also here is proof that they are fertile at my house!

19 in one brooder, 9 in the other! (they have more room than it looks, they were just huddled to avoid the scary hand with the camera)

What fabulous looking birds! Don't think we have anyone breeding them here in Ireland, but wow all the same. You're as incubator happy as me - I have to chop off the plugs in August and get hubby to hide them until March!!!
