Icelandic Chickens

You can kinda see in this picture. The waste isn't too bad. Of course, they do still waste it, but not as bad in these.

I have two feeders like these that I use for my meat birds each year. They are too lazy to bill feed and need alot of room so these work great. I have one that is similiar but a bit different that I like for the Icelandics. It is an "older" version that I picked up at a farm sale. I'll have to get a picture of it tomorrow.

In other news, I candled the 6 eggs that I gave Krystal (the broody white Java pullet) and all 6 are developing nicely.

She was not happy with me checking them, but I got away without blood being drawn! Also, since Joyous hasn't posted it here yet....she candled the 32 eggs she got from me and 31 are developing!!
