OK, so I am still in the 30 day period of tossing Icelandic eggs since Lukka returned from broody duty in the Isbar coop. Taken this morning.

I got 7 Icelandics hatched, but 1 died as I had too much water at the water tray. 1 egg had pipped, and 1 is zipping. I will post pictures when they have all hatched.

Mary, I love the pictures, Lukka is a scream! I love the look on her face - she found her true calling in life and is very happy with it. I wish I did - course if I tried sitting on eggs, I'd crush every one of them. You should have documented her pursuits - she might have made the Guinness record for broodyness.

How about a Lukka calendar, every month of the year another picture of her in maybe different nest boxes? Diana already had her chance.
