Icelandic Chickens

I think I have learned my lesson.

Hey, guess what? Lukka's broody! Can you imagine that? In the morning she is taking over the five Cream Legbar eggs from my Easter hatch and I will sit and eat bon-bons instead of hatching. Oh, wait, no. I set 88 Icelandic eggs today and I have 6 more Cream Legbar eggs shipping in the morning. Maybe I should have given her the 88 Icelandic eggs!

88........and I thought setting 36 for the Hatchalong was alot!!!

I am not expecting that very many will hatch. Most of these eggs are getting up on four weeks old now. The fresh ones have been sold to customers. I just thought I would throw them in the incubator and see what happens. I should be able to find homes for them. I certainly don't plan to keep any more Icelandic's. I had a customer pick up twelve chicks yesterday. She got a nice assortment too! I have been getting much fewer of the white chicks since rehoming so many white pullets.
