and that's not even a word! Somebody's going to have a gangly batch of BR's in a couple of weeks! I thought mine would never get past the fugly stage!

That is amazing how your broody made her nest with leaves and twigs. So sweet.
 
Kathy what you need is a sign 'KATHY'S RENT- A -BROODY" - Charge fair market value for the eggs they won't lay while being broody." Your girls are so determined and so experienced, they'd be worth a fortune to others who don't want to do the incubator thing.
 
I get broody every Dec and April.... it's like a clock or a calendar or....

Somebody is going to ask, so what the hey, do you also stop laying ??

Got a possibility on the Icelandics, will see, first getting them tested,

spring is continuing here, cool and damp, its warmer this week in much of AK then here.

Kathy you have some really beautiful chicks and chickens, I enjoy seeing them. Thanks, but thats an awful lot of roosters you get, something in the soil there??
