She is a keeper! As she gets older, her markings will get cleaner, her gold will intensify and she'll be beautiful!They are such an easy keeper and smart! The first birds in every pen to learn to go into the coop at night and figure out the roost instead of the pile on floor technique. She has nice leg color too. They actually lay a lrg/x-lrg egg and reliably every day. Although the girls from the NYD hatch started laying a couple of weeks ago and they are still at the pee-wee/sm stage.![]()
The biggest thing she has going for her............is being a she! It seems like if I only hatch one of a breed, it will be a boy every time.
I'll have to post an updated picture of the two chicks I got from your eggs (both pullets, yay), one with a crest and one without.
